NO HIDDEN FEES

We understand that overseas clients often have concerns about the costs of filing a patent and/or trademark application in Japan.

In contrast to several other IP law firms in Japan, Allegro IP discloses its fee schedule below and does not impose any hidden fees or additional charges without your prior consent. We are committed to minimizing unnecessary expenses for our clients, including those associated with transfer proceedings. Please note that discounts are not applied to our standard fees.

We have been able to offer competitive service fees because we have worked to reduce waste and keep costs to our clients as low as possible.

To address our clients’ concerns, we provide an estimated cost in advance. We would like to assure you that we do not begin work until you have given us explicit permission to do so. 

If you are interested in filing a new Japanese patent application through our firm, please provide us with specific information, such as a PCT application number. We will review the relevant materials free of charge and provide you with an estimated filing fee, which will include a breakdown of the official fee and our attorney’s fee.  Once you are satisfied with our estimate, we will initiate the work.

Please be advised that we provide estimates in advance not only for the filing fee and for each action upon your request, including examination requests, responses to office actions, annuity payments, etc.
